CSI Moving Painting Storage Systems safely store paintings and other works of art of virtually all dimensions, materials, construction or frames in the most efficient manner possible. The design permits excellent density to conserve valuable space. Individual unit access with full pullout unit extension is optimal, thereby reducing the movement and handling of objects. Aisles are always kept track-free. Safety and protection for both collections and museum staff are never compromised, and the floor space is clear.
Our Moving Painting Storage Systems utilize aerospace grade aluminum, which requires no maintenance. The vertical diamond pattern enables stainless steel “S” hooks to fit securely into the narrowest point of the opening, establishing security for the work of art that is hung. This prevents horizontal movement. On-center spacing of the units is completely flexible and can be adjusted after installation to meet your changing collection needs. And the entire system can be de-installed and relocated as needed.
Our proprietary aircraft-aerospace engineering and manufacturing techniques ensure superior tortional stability of the moving unit. This stability guarantees the smooth movement and ease of access of each unit, another reason why CSI systems are an excellent investment for today as well as tomorrow.
We also have considerable quality control procedures in place to inspect and approve every system component before it ever leaves our premises. This assures an efficient installation at your facility.

Aisles: Aisles are always track-free.
Aluminum: The all-aluminum unit is lightweight and rigid. The aluminum is completely non-reactive with no off-gassing. No paint is used.
Installation Options: Systems can be either ceiling or floor supported. Freestanding post and beam systems are also available as needed.
Maintenance: Materials are maintenance free.
Movement: Less than 15 pounds (7 kg) of force will set a fully loaded unit in motion.
New Installation Options: Conversion from a ceiling supported installation to a floor supported installation or vice-versa for future flexibility.

Relocation: The entire system can be readily de-installed and relocated.
“S” Hooks: The CSI “S” hooks are made from stainless steel rods for a secure fit into the narrowest portion of the diamond opening. This prevents horizontal movement. The long way dimension opening is vertical to ensure the secure hook placement.
Sizes: Units are provided in any size to meet your collection needs and to best utilize available space.
Spacing: On-center spacing of the units is completely flexible and can be adjusted after installation to meet your changing collection needs.
Surface Area: The hanging surface is flattened and expanded (diamond) aluminum sheet. The diamond pattern maximizes placement flexibility and density.
Tracks: Electro-galvanized steel, for strength and wear resistance.
Trolleys: Stainless Steel with Sealed Ball Bearing for longevity and smooth movement.
Vibration Dampers: Silicone Rubber Vibration Dampers surround the trolleys and isolate the vibration. The vibration is attenuated in all axes/directions.
